Susun Coleman Miller
A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Susun has a life long love of art. She
began her formal training at East Carolina University, where she was a Dean’s list
student majoring in painting fine arts and ceramics. After two years, Susun
transferred to the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida, where after one
semester, received the school's RSA Full Scholarship Award for outstanding work.
Her work was chosen for the school’s permanent collection.
Focusing extensively on portraits, custom murals and finishes in churches,
businesses and private homes, Susun has also designed and painted custom tile
murals and furniture. She discovered photography at GTCC while taking flying
lessons and now works with digital imagery to create artistic portraits with
photography. She loves to make websites and play with her computers.
Several years ago, Susun introduced into her painting, her life-long vision of
energy fields and loves revealing these auras in her work. Her ‘Aura’ vision keeps
her close to her Spirit as she also studies religions, philosophy and ancient
Oracles.
Her current painting and photographic series is called The Venus Mirror.
She is at 'home' with her art and life. She married her best friend and lover, the
'Escrimer Dude' Ron Miller in July of 2009 in their backyard, at BuffaloHenge.
Susun has two amazing grown children; gifted son and his beautiful wife, and also
gifted daughter; two precious grand-daughters and identical handsome twin
grandsons. She also has two incredibly talented step-sons and a beautiful and
talented soon to be married step-daughter, too! This summer will find both her
daughters marrying great guys. It's all good! ALL of her family, close and
extended, are truly remarkable humans and the source of Joy in her Life.
She has an exciting dream world which is becoming her movie, Time Shift. She
says her family and friends here as well as there, are, "On the phenomenal side
of Life".
Susun loves her phenomenal and passionate life.
